Troubleshooting
Start with the active editing target, selection and pending operation.
Nothing happens when I paint
Check that the active layer is visible, unlocked and has nonzero opacity. Check parent groups and covering layers. Deselect if a small selection is clipping the stroke. If the top bar says Editing MASK, choose Edit Artwork when you mean to change pixels.
Pasted pixels look missing
Make sure the canvas has focus before pasting. A paste remains floating until you confirm it. Look for its transform bounds and use Move or Fit to inspect placement. A destination mask or covering layer can affect the result after merging; read the warning or use Paste Creates New Layer when appropriate.
CCT changes only one color
Choose Selected Area when you want all eligible colors inside the selection to change. Target Color intentionally limits the result to chosen sources. Check that the adjustment is enabled and its deltas are nonzero, then use Preview.
Playback timing seems wrong
Inspect individual frame duration overrides. A frame with an explicit two-second duration does not use the global FPS default. Also check that you opened the intended animation and that you are viewing the expected frame range.
A panel is missing
Use View to show the panel, leave focused canvas mode with Tab, or reset the panel layout. On this website’s mobile layout, use Browse documentation to show the docs navigation.
