Audio

Add a soundtrack or timing reference without a full audio workstation.

Import audio

Open an animation, switch to Audio, and choose Import audio. The Windows file picker lists MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, WMA and FLAC; decoding depends on available Windows audio support. The build limits each import to 256 MiB and decoded audio to 512 MiB per project. Keep the source file when checking compatibility.

Timing and trim

Use the audio timeline and Audio Settings to position a clip relative to animation playback. Trim start and end determine the portion used. Review the clip while playing the animation to check the intended timing.

Volume, mute and fades

Audio-specific settings include volume, mute, fade in and fade out. Use fades to soften clip boundaries rather than abruptly changing volume. These controls belong to Audio Settings, while frame and onion-skin behavior remains in Animation Settings.

Speed and pitch

Speed and pitch have separate controls. Speed ranges from 0.25× to 4× and changes timing; pitch ranges from −24 to +24 semitones. Review synchronization after editing. Audio plays with the animation, but the current MP4 exporter produces silent H.264 video. Image formats and image sequences do not include sound.
