Preview Mode
Arrange pixel assets in scenes, preview animation, and capture the result.
Current status
Preview Mode is implemented in the development build as a scene workspace. It is separate from the real-size Preview Window and tiled canvas preview. Save scenes as .pxscene; keep native .pxst artwork as editable source files. The interface is still being developed.
Scenes and objects
Use Add asset to bring artwork into a scene. Select an object to adjust its source animation, position, scale, rotation, visibility and volume. Play all and Stop all control the scene preview. Scene composition does not turn the source artwork into a single editable pixel layer.
Attachment points
Create named attachment points in source artwork and use Attach to in the scene to connect objects. A base pose applies to frames without a key; frame-specific point keys move attached objects during animation. Detach removes the relationship. Check missing-point warnings after changing source artwork.
Backgrounds and screenshots
Scene backgrounds include transparent, checkerboard, solid-color and image views. Capture / Export opens scene capture controls for viewport, content or a custom crop, scale, and optional scene background. The current MP4 exporter does not include audio; add a soundtrack separately in a video editor.
